Rules for submitting abstracts and presenting posters

Abstract Submission and Poster Guidelines

 

Abstract submission deadline: June 6, 2026

1. Abstracts may be submitted after registration has been completed and confirmed.
2. The presenting author must be registered for the event.
3. Abstracts must be submitted electronically in PDF format via a Google Forms link, which will be sent to the registered email address after confirmation of payment.
4. Only unpublished work will be accepted. Abstracts describing project proposals, literature reviews, work in progress without results, or previously published studies will not be considered.
5. All abstracts must be written in English.
6. Each participant may submit and present only one poster, but may be listed as a co-author on additional submissions.
7. All submissions will be evaluated by the Scientific Committee, and the results will be communicated via email.
8. Authors are responsible for the quality of the text (grammar, spelling, and formatting), which will be considered during the evaluation process.
9. Accepted abstracts must be presented in poster format. The space allocated for each poster will be 0.9 m × 1.0 m. A formatting template will be provided by email.
10. Only one certificate will be issued per accepted and presented abstract, including the title and the names of all authors as submitted.
11. Authors are responsible for bringing materials to fix their posters (e.g., lanyards or adhesive tape).

Abstract Preparation Guidelines

Title: Should be concise, with only the first letter capitalized, and limited to 50 words.
Authors: Full names of all authors must be provided.
Affiliations: Institutional affiliations for all authors must be included.
Abstract text: Must be written in a single paragraph (no section headings) with a maximum of 400 words. The text should include: brief background, objectives, methodology, results, and conclusions. Title, authors, affiliations, and keywords are not included in the word count.
Keywords: Provide three keywords.
Funding: Financial support, if applicable, should be indicated after the keywords.

Review Process and Poster Presentation

Authors are fully responsible for the content of their submissions. No changes or additions will be allowed after submission. Certificates will be generated based on the submitted information.

All abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Committee of the 2nd Symposium on Fungal Genetics and Biology (SFGB) and may be accepted or rejected.

All communication regarding submission status will be sent to the email address provided during registration. It is the participant’s responsibility to monitor their email for updates.

Abstracts will be evaluated based on:
• Relevance and clarity of objectives
• Adequacy of the methodology
• Relevance, consistency, and clarity of results and conclusions
